Update prices in the Excel template
Update prices in the column labeled “Price”. You may enter prices individually or calculate your prices from the cost you pay for your products. To calculate prices based on your cost, do the following:
- Add the cost you pay for the item to the column “Your Cost $”.
- Choose your calculation method
- Markup Multiplier: Multiplies Your Cost by the Markup Multiplier
- Margin %: Sets your prices based on a target margin you’d like to achieve.
- Set your global adjustment for Markup or Margin. This will update all prices that have not been manually overwritten
- Make individual adjustments to prices in the Price column
- Enter “X” to reset the price to the MSRP
- Leave a price cell blank if you do not want to update that price
- Overwritten cells are highlighted in yellow. Once a cell’s formula has been overwritten, any changes to the global adjustments will not affect that cell.
- Save the document as a .xlsx file (regular Excel file)
